Charles Bridge sprayed with graffiti

Charles Bridge, Prague’s iconic landmark, has been sprayed with blue graffiti, Czech Radio reported on Friday. An unknown vandal sprayed the word “sorry” on a pedestal of one of the statues located around the centre of the bridge. Several other English words were also sprayed on the stone walls.

Prague Police Spokesman Richard Hrdina told Czech Radio that officers are now inspecting the camera recordings to find out who is behind the act of vandalism. The author of the graffiti could face up to three years in jail, according to the spokesman.
