Meteorologists issue heatwave warning

Meteorologists have issued a heatwave warning for the coming days with temperatures in some parts of the country expected to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius. The warning applies to the regions of South Moravia, Olomouc, Moravia-Silesia and Zlín from Wednesday afternoon.

People have been warned to stay out of the sun, increase their intake of fluids, and reduce consumption of alcohol. The authorities have also issued a high fire danger warning, which is in place in the areas until Friday.
