Fast-track process declared for lower house over bill on quarantine voting
The speaker of the Czech lower house Radek Vondráček, has declared what is called a state of legislative emergency from June 14 to July 16. The government had requested that he bring in the process in order to fast-track a law allowing people in quarantine to vote during general elections in October.
It is now up to a plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies to decide on whether to permit the state of legislative emergency.
