Krejčíková first woman to win French Open singles and doubles since 2000

Czech duo Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková have claimed their second French Open women's doubles title. In Sunday’s final, the No.2-seeded Czechs defeated No.14 seeds Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the United States and Iga Swiatek of Poland, 6-4, 6-2. It is the third Grand Slam women's doubles titles for the Czechs, who previously won in Paris and Wimbledon in 2018.

The win completes French Open’s dream run for Krejčíková, who defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova for the women’s singles title on Saturday. The 25-year-old Czech has become the first player to sweep both the singles and women's doubles title at Roland Garros since Mary Pierce in 2000. The victory will also see Krejčíková return to WTA Doubles World No.1 on Monday.
