Face masks no longer required in classrooms in most of Czech Republic

From Tuesday it will no longer be compulsory for school children or teachers to wear face masks during lessons, with the exception of in three regions: Zlín, South Bohemia and Liberec.

The government decided to end the requirement to wear masks in classrooms at a meeting on Monday, the minister of education, Robert Plaga, said. However, pupils and students will continue to have to cover their noses and mouths during breaks between classes.
