Head-on train collision narrowly averted near Masaryk Railway Station
A head-on collision between two trains was narrowly averted near Prague’s Masaryk Railway Station on Thursday morning, a spokesman for Czech Railways reported.
A train from Mladá Boleslav approaching the station went through a red light, entering the path of a train going in the opposite direction to Milovice. The drivers managed to stop in time and no one was reported hurt. The incident is being investigated.
A similar incident took place at Masaryk Railway Station on May 10, when two trains running opposite each other stopped just four meters apart.
