Opposition grouping still planning to unseat government

The election coalition Spolu, comprising the Civic Democrats, Christian Democrats and TOP 09, which has been pushing the minority government to ask the lower house for a vote of confidence, has said it will unveil its further plans to unseat the government on Tuesday.

Spolu gave the ruling coalition a week to ask for a confidence vote, after the Communist Party officially withdrew its support for the minority government.

The prime minister failed to comply, criticising the opposition grouping for rocking the boat in the midst of an epidemic and escalating tensions with Russia. General elections in the country are six months away.
