95 thousand school employees still waiting for jab as schools reopen

95 thousand teachers and school employees are still waiting to get the jab as schools reopen to the lower grades. According to Health Ministry data 36,000 school employees have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Only about 65 percent of teachers and other school employees have registered for vaccination. Older teachers have been given priority in the vaccination process but according to the head of the association of primary schools, Michal Černý, there are huge differences in the speed with which people are being inoculated in different regions.

So far, over two million coronavirus jabs have been applied in the Czech Republic. 700,000 people have received both doses. People over 65 will be able to start registering from Wednesday April 14.
