Fewest new Covid cases for a Wednesday this year

There were 7,015 confirmed new coronavirus cases recorded on Wednesday, 240 fewer than on the same day a week ago, and the lowest number for a Wednesday this year.

In Prague, the increase in cases slowed down further on Wednesday. There were 632 more infected, 10 percent less than a week ago.

Meanwhile, the simplified reproduction number increased from 0.67 to 0.73. It has remained below 1.0 since March 8, indicating the pandemic is slowing.
