The International Monetary Fund has lowered its outlook for the Czech economy for this year. It now expects growth of 4.2 percent in 2021, while in the autumn the fund expected a rise of 5.1 percent. The IMF stated this in its spring outlook on Tuesday.
Among other things, the IMF’s spring outlook predicts that inflation in the Czech Republic will fall in 2021 but remain higher than in many other European countries.
The IMF has improved its growth estimate for the world economy this year to 6 percent, up from 5.5 percent in its January forecast.
