Monday’s Covid cases lowest in four months
The Czech Republic registered 1,405 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, which is the lowest daily increase since December 6. The risk index has dropped to 52 points on a scale of 100 and the reproduction number is now at 0.7. The number of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 dropped significantly over the long Easter weekend, alleviating the severe pressure that many hospitals have laboured under for weeks. Currently 5,709 people are hospitalized with Covid-19, of which 1,291 are in a serious condition. The coronavirus-related death toll has now reached 27,169.
