Sunday brings slight increase in Covid numbers

The Czech Republic registered 1,911 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, 169 more than on the same day last week.

Due to the increase the reproduction number jumped from 0,7 to 0,8 and the risk index went from 52 to 55 points on a scale of 100.

The current data correspond to the 3rd risk level on a five point scale, but the restrictions in place correspond to the highest level of emergency and will remain so for another week, until April 11.

The Covid-related death toll has now crossed the 27,000 mark.
