Covid tests likely for small firms and self-employed, says Schillerová

The Czech government will probably introduce compulsory Covid tests for firms with fewer than 10 employees and for the self-employed, the minister of finance, Alena Schillerová, said on Czech Television on Sunday. The cabinet is to discuss the matter on Monday, she said.

Such antigen tests are already in place at larger firms and Minister Schillerová said she and her colleagues would also weigh up whether to increase the frequency of testing from once to twice a week.

Minister Schillerová also said that the government would ask MPs to extend the current state of emergency by 30 days.
