Study: Property prices continuing to shoot up
The Covid pandemic has not slowed a rise in property prices in the Czech Republic, according to data from the website Valuo.cz cited by the news website iDnes.cz. The survey found that the average price of apartments rose in the last two years in all of the district towns throughout the country. The highest rises were seen in Jeseník and Písek, where flats went up in price by 60 percent in the two-year period.
Valuo.cz said that average property prices had shot up by almost a third since 2019; in the last year, since the coronavirus hit the country, they rose by 17 percent.
