Slight drop in new Covid cases, but hospitals under severe strain
The Czech Republic registered 10,576 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, which is 660 fewer than on the same day a week ago, and the lowest daily increase on a work day since mid-February, according to statistics released by the Czech Health Ministry. The Covid related death toll is currently at 24,331. The reproduction number has risen slightly from 0.92 to 0.93. The pressure on hospitals remains, with 8,773 people hospitalized with Covid, of which 1992 are in a serious condition.
