Czech health authorities say no reason to suspend AstraZeneca vaccinations

The Czech health authorities have said they see no reason to suspend AstraZeneca vaccinations in the wake of a blood clot scare in Denmark and Austria.

The Institute for Drug Control said the batch of AstraZeneca which has raised concerns abroad was not delivered to the Czech Republic.

Health Minister Jan Blatný on Thursday assured the public that the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe, saying that no causal link between the vaccine and the blood clot events had been established to date.

He said no significant problems had been reported in this country in connection with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
