Anti-Covid restrictions group planning to stand in general elections

A group protesting against the closure of pubs and other Covid restrictions is planning to run in October’s general elections. Named Otevřeme Česko – Chcípl PES, the new party registered at the Ministry of the Interior at the end of last week.

A representative said former finance minister Vlastimil Tlustý would be its economics spokesperson.

The group have held protests against the forced closure of restaurants and other restrictions in Prague in recent months.
