Karlovy Vary IFF to take place in second half of August

This year’s 55th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will take place from August 20 to 28, the organisers announced on Thursday. The Czech Republic’s top cinema event normally takes place around the start of July but has been pushed back this year in view of the Covid situation.

KVIFF’s executive director, Kryštof Mucha, said vaccinations in the coming months could help bring the pandemic under control and allow the holding of the festival in a way that would be as safe as possible for visitors.
