Health Ministry to order use of respirators as epidemic worsens
The Czech government is tightening the requirements on nose and mouth protection in view of the fast spread of the more contagious “British” variant of the virus. As of Monday February 22, people will be required to use respirators or nano-filtered face masks in shops, on public transport and places with a higher concentration of people. People using surgical facemasks will be required to wear two for greater safety. Home-made face masks or scarves will no longer be acceptable. The Ministry of Health recommends the use of KN95 or FFP2 respirators.
