Poll by Kantar CZ suggests ANO losing political dominance
A new opinion poll conducted by the Kantar CZ agency suggests that the coalition of the Pirate Party and Mayors and Independents would now beat the prime minister’s ANO party in general elections with 29.5 percent of the vote.
ANO which has maintained a strong lead over other parties for years, would come second with 26.5 percent.The coalition of Civic Democrats, Christian Democrats and TOP 09 would place third with 19.5 percent.
The Freedom and Direct Democracy Party would receive 10 percent backing from the electorate, while the Communists would only just cross the threshold needed to win seats in the lower house with 5 percent of the vote. The Social Democrats, the junior party in the ruling coalition, would fall below the cut-off point with 4 percent.
