2020 tourism numbers down by half

Some 10.8 million tourists stayed in accommodation in the Czech Republic in 2020, which was a year-on-year fall of 51 percent. According to official data released on Tuesday, the number of foreign tourists fell by nearly three-quarters last year, when the coronavirus pandemic hit the country.

Previously tourism numbers had been rising steadily for several years.
