Hundreds of WWII mines found in woods

A large number of World War II artillery mines were discovered in a wood by the village of Týnišťko in the Pardubice Region on Sunday. Police said they found 338 82 millimeter mines after being alerted by people using detectors to hunt for metal. The munitions were buried 1.5 metres underground and could have blown up several houses if in a different location, a police spokesperson said.
