Sunday saw lowest number of new Covid cases in over a month

The number of newly registered cases on Sunday 2,376, which is the lowest daily increase since December 13, according to Health Ministry data.

The number of people hospitalized with Covid-19 reached 5,621, a drop of 830 compared to the same day last week. 83 people died on Sunday, bringing the overall death tally in the Czech Republic to 15,453.

The Czech Republic’s Covid-19 risk index has remained at 69 points out of 100, the fourth level of the five-tier emergency scale PES, for twelve days in a row.
