Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines deliveries to Czechia to be cut down by 20 percent

Deliveries of Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech to the Czech Republic will be reduced by about 20 percent in the coming weeks, Health Minister Jan Blatný said on Saturday.

According to Mr Blatný, there will be enough vaccines to carry out the second round of inoculation, which is to be administered three weeks after the first dose. However, vaccination of new groups will slow down in February due to the shortage of supplies.

Deliveries to the Czech Republic and six other EU states were impacted by changes to the Pfizer’s production site. The company’s CEO Albert Bourla had promised to do everything possible to reduce the delays.
