Covid-19: Over 7,200 people in Czechia have received second vaccine dose
As of Thursday morning, nearly 155,000 people in the Czech Republic have been vaccinated against Covid-19. More than 7,200 people have already received a second dose, Health Minister Jan Blatný told a press conference.
The vaccination campaign started on December 27. To date, mainly medical workers and employees of old people’s homes have been inoculated. Since Saturday, anyone over 80 years of age is eligible to receive the vaccine.
Thus far, over 173,000 people have registered to get vaccinated and 72,000 seniors over 80 have a reserved appointment. Delivery bottlenecks have hampered the effort, so new appointments will be limited in the coming few weeks, Minister Blatný told reporters.
