Chcípl PES initiative to set up political movement against restrictive measures
The Chcípl PES initiative, representing self-employed persons and entrepreneurs mainly in the hospitality sphere, has announced it is establishing a political movement to fight the restrictive measures enforced by the government and re-open the Czech Republic.
At a press briefing in Prague on Tuesday, the initiative’s founders accused the government of abusing its powers and unleashing an epidemic of poverty and unemployment that is far worse than the Covid pandemic itself.
It has been calling for civil disobedience and on Tuesday presented a plan under which restaurants could re-open as “political cells” where sympathizers of the Chcípl PES movement could meet.
