Majority of people say state's response to epidemic “adequate”
Six out of ten Czechs consider the state's response to the spread of Covid-19 to be adequate, according to the results of a poll conducted by the CVVM agency.
61 percent of respondents said the measures taken against the epidemic were appropriate, roughly a fifth of people rate them as exaggerated and 13 percent consider them insufficient.
The majority of respondents said the measures were poorly communicated by the government.
People rate the work of doctors, nurses, paramedics and emergency crews exceptionally high, but are more critical of the performance of the government, the media and the World Health Organization.
