Director of State Institute of Public Health resigns over vaccination scandal

The director of the State Institute of Public Health Pavel Březovský has resigned from his post.

The resignation came shortly after the revelation that the institute had distributed a thousand vaccines among its employees and their relatives. Most of them were not entitled to priority inoculation according to the government's vaccination strategy.

Health Minister Jan Blatny denounced the practice as totally unacceptable.
