Škoda reports car deliveries fell by a fifth in 2020

The car manufacturer Skoda Auto has announced its volume of car deliveries fell by nearly one fifth in 2020 to 1.004 million as opposed to the 1.242 million delivered in 2019. The decrease was largely caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which for example saw manufacturing plants close for 39 days.

The most significant fall in deliveries was registered with the Fabia model, some 39 percent. However, some models, such as the Scala and Kamiq saw deliveries grow by 61.7 and 99 percent respectively.
