Ice Hockey: Czechs beat Russia 2-0 at Junior World Cup

The Czech under 20 ice hockey team has scored a big win at the ongoing Junior Ice Hockey World Championship, defeating heavy favourites Russia by 2-0 on Sunday evening in Edmonton, Canada. Strikers Filip Koffer and Martin Lang each scored while goalie Lukáš Pařík made 30 saves.

The Czech team started the tournament on Saturday with a 7-1 defeat against Sweden. In their third game in Group B, team coach Karel Mlejnek's protégés will face the United States on Tuesday.
