Despite government’s appeal only a fraction of teachers get tested
Around 12,000 teachers have so far availed themselves of the opportunity to get tested for Covid-19 for free, the country’s chief hygiene officer Jarmila Rážová reported on Friday. Approximately 3.4 percent of those tested were positive. The government has ordered free antigen tests for the country’s 200, 000 teachers to be made available, but testing is not compulsory. The others have until December 18th to register for a free test. After that date all members of the public can register for free tests.
