Czechia orders vaccine for 6.9 million people

The Czech Republic has ordered a vaccine against Covid-19 for 6.9 million people, Health Minister Jan Blatný told journalists after presenting his inoculation strategy to the cabinet. Vaccination will be covered by public health insurance and will be voluntary.

According to a STEM survey commissioned by the Health Ministry, 40 percent of Czechs want to get the vaccine, another 40 percent refuse to get inoculated and 20 percent are undecided.

Minister Blatný said it was now up to the authorities to provide those who are as yet undecided with information so that they can make an informed decision.
