Majority of cabinet ministers will get inoculated

The vast majority of cabinet ministers say they will get inoculated against the coronavirus when a vaccine is available.

In response to a survey conducted by Czech Radio they said they considered the vaccine safe and had no problem getting the shot. Only Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Environment Minister Richard Brabec said they would have to consult their doctors about whether they should get the vaccine due to possible health complications.

The president’s spokesman also said the head of state would consult with his doctors before coming to a decision. Almost half of Czechs polled said they do not trust the vaccine and will not get inoculated.

According to the health minister the inoculation of high risk groups should start at the end of January. Vaccination will be free of charge and voluntary.
