Fewest new Covid cases since September recorded Sunday
Some 1,509 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Sunday. This was less than the previous Sunday and was the lowest figure seen since September 28. There are around 87,000 active cases of the coronavirus and the number of deaths has reached 7,196, according to official Ministry of Health data.
The score on the government’s index for calculating Covid risk fell to 57 on Monday. This newly places the country in the third highest risk level and, if sustained, could lead to the easing of some restrictions.
