Krkonoše officials report over 10,000 visitors daily on Sněžka in summer

Officials from the Krkonoše National Park in North Bohemia say that it experienced above average visitor numbers this summer, with records being broken in some spots. One place that was particularly popular was the country’s highest mountain, Sněžka, which saw average daily visitor numbers of over 10,000.

As elsewhere in the country, tourist figures were up because more Czechs than usual vacationed at home in view of the Covid-19 situation.
