New coronavirus measures take effect in some parts of country
New measures aimed at containing Covid-19 were introduced in parts of the Czech Republic on Monday. In the whole of the Central Bohemian Region and the Uherské Hradiště district pubs and bars must now close at midnight – a measure that is already in place in Prague.
In the capital people must now disinfect their hands before entering public buildings, restaurants, shops and hotels.
On Friday four other districts joined Prague in the medium risk category on a national “Covid map” reflecting relative risk of catching the virus.
