Austria will not impose new measures on traveling to Czech Republic, says Foreign Ministry spokesperson

Unlike Belgium, Austria is not preparing to change conditions for travellers coming from the Czech Republic, a spokesperson from Austria’s Foreign Ministry told the Austrian Press Agency on Wednesday. However, Austria is following the situation and will adopt measures with relevant ministries after consulting experts if necessary, the statement goes.

Belgium has already placed Prague in its COVID-19 high-risk list, and Germany is expected to impose travel restrictions on Thursday. Slovakia’s health minister has also said his country may impose new measures based on the situation developing in the Czech Republic.
