Czechia experiencing highest COVID-19 climb rate among neighbouring countries

The Czech Republic has the highest rate of new coronavirus infections when compared to its neighbouring countries. Wednesday saw 650 new cases, a record rise since the pandemic hit the Czech Republic.

Overall, 25,773 COVID-19 cases have been registered in the country, of which 425 have died and more than 18,300 recovered.

Health Minister Adam Vojtěch said that it may be necessary to further increase protective measures, particularly in Prague, to curb the growth in cases. He mentioned they may involve new rules on face mask wearing.
