Survey: 40 percent of workers in Czechia being forced to change jobs due to COVID-19

Either a change of employment or the search for a new job is currently a necessity for two-fifths of the labour force in the Czech Republic. A further 55 percent of workers say they would not shy away from switching jobs if an interesting opportunity came up. The final 5 percent say they do not want to change jobs under any conditions as they are worried they could then lose it in the trial period. The data is the result of a July survey conducted by consulting firm Hays, which questioned 600 people working in the Czech Republic.

Close to a third of respondents said that they do not know whether they will be working at home or at the office after the holiday season is over. Around a quarter said that home office will constitute at least a part of their working week, while 22 percent of respondents said that they will be working in the company office full time.
