Football: Prague clubs Slavia, Sparta, Bohemians win first matches of 2020/21 season

Two Prague football clubs – arch-rivals Sparta and Slavia – enjoyed victories this weekend in the first matches of the Czech First League’s 2020/2021 season.

Reigning champions Slavia soundly defeated SK Dynamo České Budějovice on Sunday, by a score of 6-0, propelled by a hat trick from striker Stanislav Tecl.

Sparta, which had a disappointing season last year, beat Zbrojovka Brno 4-1 on Saturday. The day before, the third first division team from Prague, Bohemians 1905, beat Mladá Boleslav by a score of 4-0.
