Czech Republic removes Spain from list of safe countries

Czech Republic will remove Spain, with the exception of the Canary Islands, from the list of safe countries that do not pose a coronavirus risk, the Czech Ministry of Health announced on Friday.

As of August 24, Czech tourists returning from Spain will have to produce a negative test for Covid-19 or go into two-week quarantine. The same rules will apply to foreign citizens arriving in the Czech Republic from Spain.

Spain, along with Romania, are the only EU countries currently excluded from the list of safe states.
