A heat warning is in place for most parts of the Czech Republic on Sunday, when temperatures are likely to reach 34 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologists have advised people to increase their intake of liquids and stay out of the sun as much as possible. They have also warned people not to leave children or pets in their cars even for short periods of time.

In the upcoming week, temperatures will remain close to 30 degrees Celsius, with a slight cool-down towards the weekend. The warm weather is expected to last until the end of the summer holidays.
