US Secretary of State Pompeo to arrive in Prague on Tuesday

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is due to arrive for an official visit of the Czech Republic on Tuesday, August 11, Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček told Czech Radio.

The following day, he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. According to Mr Petříček, the main topics on the agenda will include security cooperation between the Czech Republic and the United States, as well as trade relations and regional cooperation.

Mr. Pompeo was originally due to visit the Czech Republic in the spring of this year to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of West Bohemia by US troops in May 1945, but the visit was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
