State signs deal with CEZ over new Dukovany unit
The Czech government and the semi-state energy company CEZ have signed a contract regarding the planned building of a new unit at Dukovany, one of the country’s two nuclear power stations. In addition to an umbrella deal, the two sides also signed a contract that defines the zoning permit for the site of the construction as well as the selection of a supplier by 2024.
CEZ CEO Daniel Beneš said the power giant would like to select a company to build the unit by the end of 2022. The tender for the job should be published in December this year.
