Czech National Symphony Orchestra pays tribute to Ennio Morricone
Czech cultural figures have been paying tribute to Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest movie composers of all time, who died on Sunday at the age of 91.
The Italian composer worked closely with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, with whom he recorded the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's film "The Hateful Eight" for which he won an Oscar, and BAFTA and Golden Globe awards.
“Our cooperation with Ennio Morricone was crucial, unforgettable and unique, we will remember him with the greatest respect,” the orchestra wrote on Facebook.
Ennio Moricone last conducted in Prague in January 2019, shortly after his 90th birthday.
