Czechia’s highest building to be built in Ostrava

Plans to build the Czech Republic’s highest building are underway in Ostrava. Local councillors on Thursday approved the sale of a building plot in the centre of the city to the company RT Torax, which plans to build there a skyscraper measuring 238 metres. The 60-storey building is expected to cost over two billion crowns.

Currently the tallest building in the Czech Republic is the AZ Tower in Brno, with 111 metres and 30 floors.
