Czech computer games firms’ turnover up 20 pct to CZK 4.5 billion

Czech computer game companies recorded a 20 percent increase in turnover last year, to 4.5 billion crowns, the Association of Czech Game Developers announced on Tuesday. It said sales should rise to 5 billion crowns this year.

Association chairman Pavel Barák said there are 110 companies in the Czech Republic developing games, about two-thirds of them for consoles and PCs. The vast majority of customers are from the United States, Germany, Great Britain, Russia and China.
