Meteorologists issue torrential rain warning

Czech meteorologists have warned against torrential rains that will hit part of the country on Friday and may lead springs and smaller rivers to break their banks.

Up to 50 litres per square metre of rain is expected to fall in the regions of Hradec Králové, Pardubice and parts of the Olomouc and Zlín regions.

Heavy rain is also expected in other parts of the country, with the exception of south-west. The warning is in place until 6 p.m. on Friday.
