Prague’s Václav Havel Airport has been one of the worst hit in Europe by the coronavirus crisis, according to a Eurostat report cited by the Czech News Agency. The Czech Republic’s main airport saw a year-on-year decline of 65 percent in travellers in March.
Some other Czech airports were even harder hit the month Covid-19 was first detected in the Czech Republic. Brno’s airport recorded a 69.4 percent fall in passenger numbers, while traffic at Ostrava airport was down by 76.7 percent.
