Football: Straka unveils line up for match against Malta

In football, the new manager of the Czech national team František Straka has unveiled his line-up for the Czech Republic’s match against Malta on June 6. The line-up, which includes only nine Czechs currently playing abroad, came as a surprise to some sports commentators. Twelve of the players to have been selected by Straka have never played an international match before, the newspaper Lidové noviny reported on Tuesday. The Czech coach said that many key players would be needing to rest after a hard season to explain the number of newcomers on the team. František Straka took over from Petr Rada as the Czech national coach earlier this month.
